2. For UTC Internal Audit, the IT Global Director is responsible for managing the IT budget. The operations manager gets the budget from the IT Global Director and consolidates with other department budgets. She also analyzes it to understand and monitor for reasonableness. She then helps the Global Director to understand the content of the budget. The Global Director will then approve the budget and takes to CFO for discussion and approval. The Global Director does not have the expertise on IT projects, so she relies on the IT Global Director for his knowledge and risk assessment skills. The IT Internal Audit budget is made up of IT auditors, travel, employee scholar payments and allocation of rent.
